Dr. Renate
Veterinarian DVM (Munich)
Dr. Renate studied in Munich and graduated with honors in 1985. She did her doctorate as she worked at the University as a Professors assistant and part translated a book in behavior. The specialization there was behavior and hygiene. Afterwards Dr. Renate then went into practice with small and large animals, with concentration on surgery and natural treatment options. She also did a talk series on radio about behavioral problems in cats and dogs.
From there she worked in Thailand and Switzerland before immigrating to Australia in 1995. Working at Beenleigh Veterinary Hospital for Kelvin Boys before taking ownership in 2005. Since then Dr. Renate has completed a degree in Homotoxicology and is currently studying a Masters in Forensic Science.
Dr. Sidney
Veterinarian BVSc (Hons)
Dr. Sidney graduated from the University of Queensland in 2003 with honors and has worked in small animal practices throughout Brisbane and its surrounding suburbs. Dr. Sidney has interests in small animal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Sidney and his young family share their home with 'Herbert' and 'Kenny' the yorkshire terriers and 'Miguel' a Chihuahua Cross.
Meagan
Practice Manager
Meagan started work in Veterinary Nursing in 1995, and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2002. She has been with Beenleigh Veterinary Hospital for most of her career and has also worked for two other practices on the Gold Coast before coming back to BVH in 2005. Since then she has taken on the role of Practice Manager.
Meagan and her family share their home with 'Molly and Daffy' the German Shepherds, 'Jeckles' a Poodle cross Chihuahua and 'Leo' a Shih-Tzu cross. But it's her cats 'Yogi and Pigglet' who run the household. Not to forget 'Kevin' and 'Kenny' the two Norwegian Dwarf goats.
Rhiannon
Veterinary Nurse
Graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology and her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Rhiannon joined us at BVH at the end of 2017 whilst finishing her course.
Rhiannon grew up in Beenleigh and loves being back and helping everyone's fur babies in our community. After loving all the pets that come in to clinic she goes home to her special little kitties Roxy and Keanu who are spoilt rotten.

Dr. Ed
Veterinarian BVSc
Dr Ed studied Veterinary Science at Sydney Univeristy, graduating in 2008. Since graduation, Dr. Ed has worked in a mixed animal practice in Northern NSW and has developed experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Ed's particular interests include orthopedic surgery, cattle and horse medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Ed has a sweet old red cattle dog called 'Elmo' and a 20yr old Maquarie Turtle.

Jazmyn
Veterinary Nurse
Jazmyn joined us in 2022 whilst finishing up her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
After a busy day at the clinic, Jazmyn goes home her to her 2 dogs Kodi (Maltese x Shih Tzu) and Lucy (Cavoodle) and Skittles, her Green Cheeked Conure.
In her spare time, Jazmyn likes to do escape rooms, play board games or take the dogs to the beach.


Nisha graduated from her Certificate IV in Vet Nursing mid 2021, and started at BVH shortly after in 2022.
Previously she has gone on a volunteer trip to Namibia to help with nursing African wildlife, and has briefly studied dog behaviour and training, both of which are things she has a keen interest in.
With a love of all animals, Nisha has a cat called 'Poet', 'Judge' a staffy and 'Trouble' a labrador mix, with plans for many more to come in the future!
